1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies#

At Lumorig, we use cookies alongside a similar technology called local storage. While cookies are sent back and forth between your browser and our servers to do things like verify your identity, local storage saves data entirely on your device. We use local storage simply to remember your interface preferences, such as your chosen theme (light or dark mode) and the last tab you had open, so the platform looks exactly how you left it when you return.

Because we host our own fonts, no requests are sent to third-party services like Google Fonts, further protecting your privacy.

We believe in collecting as little data as possible. Therefore, we only use cookies that are absolutely essential for Lumorig to operate.

2.1 Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies (always on)#

These cookies are required for the Lumorig platform to function. They handle user authentication, session management, and security (such as protecting your Google or GitHub sign-in process). Because these cookies are necessary to provide the service you requested, they do not require your consent.

2.2 Functional Cookies#

We do not currently use functional cookies. (Your interface preferences are saved locally on your device via local storage, not via cookies.)

2.3 Analytics & Performance Cookies#

We do not currently use analytics and performance cookies. We do not track your behavior across our platform using third-party analytics tools.

2.4 Marketing & Advertising Cookies#

We do not currently use marketing and advertising cookies. We do not track you across the internet or serve retargeted advertisements.

3. Third-Party Cookies & Services#

We rely on a trusted third-party partner to handle financial transactions securely. This partner may set their own strictly necessary cookies when you interact with their specific feature.

Paddle

• What it does: We use Paddle as our merchant of record to process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Cookie usage: Paddle's checkout is only loaded when you actively open checkout. When loaded, Paddle sets strictly necessary cookies to process your payment securely, prevent fraudulent transactions, and comply with financial regulations.

• Opt-out: Because these cookies are strictly necessary for secure payment processing, there is no opt-out available other than abandoning the checkout process.

4. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control#

We respect your privacy signals.

• Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals. Because we do not sell or share your data, or use tracking cookies, your experience on Lumorig remains fully protected automatically.
• Do Not Track (DNT): We honor DNT browser signals. We do not load non-essential tracking technologies for anyone.

5. Your Cookie Choices#

Because Lumorig only uses strictly necessary cookies required for the platform to function, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Under both the GDPR and CCPA, essential cookies do not require prior user consent.

However, you still have total control over your browser. You can configure your browser to block or alert you about all cookies, including essential ones. Please be aware that if you block our strictly necessary cookies (like mf_session), you will not be able to log in or use the Lumorig platform.

Cookies generally fall into two duration categories:

While our own strictly necessary cookies are processed directly by our servers, our payment processor, Paddle, operates internationally.
